In this paper, I have reviewed three films. They are Mr. Smith goes to Washington by Frank Capra, All the King’s Men by Robert Rossen and Grapes of Wrath by John Ford. All of those movies impressed me with the ideas, actors’ acting and the atmosphere. All the films I listed are about the Great Depression times, showing the problems which appeared in that period in American society.

The movie under consideration is entitled Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis, and it was made in 1927. The director of the film is Walter Ruttmann, a German artist, a filmmaker, and a brilliant representative of avant-garde cinematography. In this movie, Ruttmann’s use of montage is considered as innovative one, and it was appreciated by his contemporaries.

As there are all tools required to realize a clean energy policy tomorrow, the only thing needed is the will and joint efforts. Truly, this is not a dream, but a reality to attain a sustainable and habitable planet.

The researched movie proves that a position of women in Japan had been ambiguous for centuries. However, the fact that every woman needed the support of a man is evident. Only the status of a married woman gave her a relative freedom. Geishas, who at first glance were independent, suffered a lot. Their lives depended on the patronage of rich males. In fact, they were treated like subjects even more than married women who were able to rely on the support of their families
